3 Strathspey, Reels: Bag of Seeds/ The Periwig/ Ragged Old Man

I first learned this strathspey from Kenna Campbell at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire in Glasgow. The reel that follows came to me from the playing of Scottish piper Fin Moore, and I first encountered the words as sung by Karen Matheson with the Scottish band, Capercaillie. The final reel is popular in oral tradition and similar in melody to the opening strathspey.
